Tochi Onyebuchi

Tochi Onyebuchi is the author of Beasts Made of Night, its sequel Crown of Thunder, and the upcoming War Girls. The bestselling Beasts Made of Night and Crown of Thunder are the first two volumes of a Young Adult (YA) series set in a fantastical world full of dark magic and danger. Onyebuchi earned a B.A. from Yale, an M.F.A. in screenwriting from Tisch, a master’s in global economic law from Institut d’études politiques, and a J.D. from Columbia Law School. His decision to write for teen readers stemmed from his background in social justice, particularly as a response to issues surrounding gender, racial discrimination, incarceration and police violence.
