Why Jenny Osei Kofi ’28 applied early

Sometimes, you just know. For Jenny Osei Kofi ’28, from Aurora, Ill., her first tour of Augustana helped seal the deal. Watching students walk across campus, she could picture herself among them.

She was drawn to the close-knit community, where professors make an effort to know students by name and connect them with opportunities to explore their interests.

“I've learned so much at Augustana College, and I just love the community,” Jenny said.

Knowing Augustana was where she wanted to be and excited about all the possibilities ahead, Jenny applied Early Decision and never looked back.

Since arriving on campus, Jenny has discovered the value of saying yes to new experiences and opportunities.

Her advice to future Vikings?

“Say yes. You never know what can happen. Amazing things have happened for me saying yes.”
