Board of Trustees Fellows

The $1,000 Board of Trustees Fellowship is offered to high-achieving students nominated by their Augustana Admissions counselor and endorsed by their high school school counselors.

Board of Trustees Fellows may use their $1,000 for a special project or learning experience of their choice in the first or second year at Augustana College.

Of the over 60 students who have received and used their Board of Trustees Fellowship since 2014:

• 29% used it to study abroad in their first two years;
• 44% completed an internship or similar field experience before they were a junior;
• 27% supported their research or other creative scholarship with a member of our faculty.

Typically, these are high-impact learning experiences that students wouldn't receive until after their sophomore year—the purpose of the BoT Fellowship is to connect motivated, high-achieving students with opportunities and the means to get started. These experiences, then, open doors for further opportunities. Often, students will use the BoT Fellowship for one type of experience with the plan to use Augie Choice on another type—expanding the possibilities.

All nominees will be notified no later than March 15.

To accept this fellowship nominees need to commit to Augustana by May 1 and complete this form.
