Top routes
Coming from the Chicago area? As I-88 blends into John Deere Road, you'll pass the John Deere World Headquarters in neighboring Moline, as well as the Augustana Vikings Brunner Baseball Field. Take John Deere Road through Moline into Rock Island, then take 38th Street in Rock Island north to Augustana. If you are on I-80, you'll drive along the Rock River before turning onto John Deere Road, driving through Moline into Rock Island, and taking 38th Street in Rock Island.
Coming from Iowa? You can cross the Mississippi River on the inspiring new I-74 bridge—or choose to stay longer on the Iowa side and take the offramp from I-74 onto River Drive, admiring the river on your way to Centennial Bridge from Davenport into Rock Island. Turn left onto 7th Avenue and then right onto 38th Street, driving slowly through campus.
Coming from the Bloomington/St. Louis area? Starting on I-74 from Bloomington/St. Louis, you'll drive along the Rock River before turning onto John Deere Road and 38th Street.

There's so much to enjoy in our community! Rock Island is part of the Quad Cities, a diverse metro area (pop. 470,000) spanning the Mississippi River border between Illinois and Iowa. Four cities (actually five, when you include East Moline) comprise the Quad Cities: Rock Island and Moline in Illinois, and Davenport and Bettendorf in Iowa.
