A lifelong Quad Citizen and proud Augustana alumna ('99), Jane Renee Villagomez has been a professional writer for more than 20 years, crafting everything from CEO speeches to magazine feature articles to employee newsletters. Jane has edited 15 published books -- several of which have won multiple awards -- and 13 Ph.D. dissertations.

Jane will graduate in July 2026 with a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing from Fairfield University, where she received a Graduate Merit Fellowship.

She has a poetry chapbook, "How to Avoid Being and Other Paths to Triumph" (918studio press, 2011).

Jane and her family live in Orion, IL.
