Rita Conway is a proud Augustana College alum with a degree in accounting and a math and computer science concentration. She launched her career at the Chicago firm Arthur Andersen, where she earned a CPA designation. Seeking a new challenge, she joined the U.S. Peace Corps and spent time in the Fiji Islands teaching accounting and economics. This experience widened her global perspective and deepened both her expertise and love of education.

After returning to the States, Rita earned her Master of Accountancy from Northern Illinois University, where she added a CMA designation to her credentials. She has taught at a variety of institutions including Pleasant Valley High School, Northern Illinois University, College of St. Catherine, Blackhawk Community College, and her alma mater, Augustana. Rita has also maintained an active public accounting practice throughout her career.
