Cultural Food Club

Food is more than just nourishment. It carries love, emotions and deep cultural significance. At Augustana College, we are surrounded by a diverse community of students, each bringing their unique traditions, experiences and flavors from all around the world. Our Cultural Food Club aims to celebrate all this diversity on campus by bringing students together twice a month to prepare, cook and share dishes from different cultures, households and backgrounds.

Lecture video: The history of ice glaciers

It has been nearly 18 billion years since we have seen carbon emissions like we have now, says Dr. John Isbell, professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He talked about the history of ice glaciers for the Polar Lecture at Augustana College. "We will have to reduce our carbon emissions, and it is still going to go up for a while. If we can reduce emissions, we can slow it down."
