Alex Mayszak

Alex Mayszak is the director of digital learning and innovation for East Moline School District 37 in East Moline, Ill. His role focuses on districtwide technology integration and professional learning opportunities for staff - and on making sure students are good digital citizens, have future-ready skills and can successfully navigate a digital world.

"I would like to participate in Viking Connections to continue to give back to Augustana and current students. I have varied professional and volunteer experiences that shape my worldview and work in the education field. I believe that a strong alumni network and built relationships with current students enhances the Augustana experience for all."

Jimmy Vercoe '25 was this year's grand prize winner. The contest was open to all Augustana students who went on a study abroad trip or term between summer 2022 and spring break 2023.

Bergendoff Hall entrance closures

Both east entrances, near the ensemble room and ticket office, will be closed. Temporary walls have been constructed to keep everyone safe during this final phase of construction.

WIU, Augustana pave way for bachelor’s to master’s sport management program

Augustana students who have completed their undergraduate kinesiology degree, plus three bridge courses, can immediately transfer to WIU to complete the master of science degree. This allows students to meet both degree requirements in five years.
