Augustana, Rock Island break ground on Lincoln Park tennis complex
Administrators from the City of Rock Island and Augustana College broke ground on a six-court tennis complex at Lincoln Park, adjacent to campus. The project is slated to open for use by the college and the community this fall.
Viking Connections: Matthew Nicol
Matthew Nicol is a senior talent acquisition manager at HNI Corporation in Muscatine, Iowa. In his role, he manages recruiting technology and strategies as it relates to human capital solutions, workforce planning and labor development within HNI's operations groups.
He also serves as the operations chair of the Mississippi Valley Workforce Development Board's executive committee, and he sits in an appointed position on Governor Kim Reynolds' Iowa State Workforce Development Board.
"In my professional career, I can offer advice on career planning, networking, and resume building/interview preparation. Additionally, my team manages our co-op and internship programs," says Matthew. "For anyone looking to balance government interests, I can provide some insight given my active positions in Iowa."
