Joy of Christmas in Andover on Dec. 6

Campus Ministries is sponsoring a Dec. 6 Christmas service in the Jenny Lind Chapel of Augustana Lutheran Church, Andover, Ill. The event will include a candlelight procession, carols, and cookies and cocoa in the church basement.

Slough path to close through Jan. 7

The next phase of the Augustana Slough path construction project requires that the path be closed until Jan. 7, 2024. For the safety of everyone on campus and those visiting, proper barricades will be erected on Dec. 4.

Students present results from Rock Island water line survey

The city of Rock Island and Augustana College partnered over the summer to engage Rock Island residents in an inventory of water service lines in the city. As part of a regional effort to remove lead in drinking water, the state of Illinois asked communities to survey their water pipes to gauge how much funding would be needed to replace them.

Spivey’s memorial mural replaces tears with joy

Art/psychology double major Aykeem Spivey '24 donated his time and talent to paint a mural at the Rock Island Center for Math and Science, in honor of a beloved teacher, Kris Hays. Hays passed away from cancer last year.
