Alumnus premieres cello piece in honor of Dr. Ehrlich's 45 years

Grant Estes '21, commemorating Dr. Janina Ehrlich's 45 years of service at Augustana, will premiere "The Quarrel Between Winter and Summer," composed by faculty member Dr. Jacob Bancks, on Sunday, April 14, at 2 p.m., in Wallenberg Hall (on the second floor of Denkmann Memorial Building).

Augustana, Trinity College announce direct-entry nursing program

Students in this program will complete two years at Augustana College and two years at Trinity College of Nursing & Health Sciences. They are assured a place in the Bachelor of Science Nursing program at Trinity College and will benefit from faculty co-advisors.

Students attend national character and leadership symposium

Four students represented Augustana at the 31st annual National Character and Leadership Symposium (NCLS) at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. NCLS is an annual two-day symposium in which participants hear distinguished scholars, military leaders, corporate executives and world-class athletes share stories of character and leadership.

Some people make a career of improving lives. Dr. Jenn Hintzsche ’06 also helps create them. The FDA has granted clearance to an at-home insemination kit that allows would-be parents to take control of their experience. Dr. Hintzsche created the device.

OperX: 'Dido and Aeneas'

Purcell's Dido and Aeneas is based on Virgil's epic poem, The Aeneid and the opera is often said to be the birth of the English Opera art form back when the work premiered in 1689. Dido and Aeneas touches on the idea of fate and the conflict between making an active choice to fall in love vs.
