Film: "Chi-Raq"

International & Independent Films at Augustana will present the 2015 satirical drama "Chi-Raq," directed and produced by Spike Lee. The public is welcome.

The story is based on Aristophanes' "Lysistrata," a Greek play in which women withhold sex from their husbands as punishment for fighting in the Peloponnesian War. This adaptation is set against the backdrop of gang violence in Chicago.

Run time is two hours and seven minutes.
