Dr. Jim Collinson '60: The First American Geology Field Party in Antarctica

Dr. Jim Collinson '60 will give a special Homecoming lecture, "The First American Geology Field Party in Antarctica."

Dr. Collinson is a professor emeritus in the School of Earth Sciences and Byrd Polar Research Center at The Ohio State University. He will discuss will discuss Laurence Gould's field party crossing from Little America to the Queen Maud Mountains in Byrd's first Antarctic expedition in 1928-1930.

The lecture is presented by the Augustana Department of Geology.
