Poetry reading and open mic with D. Allen

FYI 103 “Queer Life Stories” presents a poetry reading and open mic with D. Allen, a Minneapolis-based queer poet and multidisciplinary artist. The event will begin with a reception and refreshments; the reading will begin at 5:15.

D. Allen's first book, "A Bony Framework for the Tangible Universe," is forthcoming in 2019 from The Operating System.

D. Allen has received a VSA Minnesota Emerging Artist Grant, a Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant, a Loft Literary Center Minnesota Emerging Writers’ Grant, a Lighthouse Works Fellowship, and an MFA from the University of Minnesota. D.’s work has been published in Rogue Agent, District Lit, Black Warrior Review, and QDA: A Queer Disability Anthology.
