Summer Spanish in the Andes meeting
Students interested in the Summer Spanish in the Andes study abroad program are invited to an informational meeting.
The Summer Spanish Program is based in Cuenca, Ecuador, a city of nearly 300,000 people.
In addition to formal, classroom study in Cuenca, the program includes several field trips. In Ecuador, students will travel to Quito and the Andean highlands, and will have the option of visiting the Ecuadorian rainforest. In Peru, visits include Cusco, the oldest continually inhabited city in the New World; Trujillo, one of the first cities founded by Spanish conquerors in América; and Machu Picchu, the lost city of the Incas.
Students who have completed a minimum of one course of advanced level work at their home universities can opt for the 11-week program, or choose a special 5-week intensive program. The 11-week option is available for students at all levels, which provides a richer immersion experience and more extensive travel throughout Ecuador and Peru.
