Civil Discourse Panel and Practice

The Civil Discourse Panel and Practice event will feature a student-led panel to discuss what it means to be civil, demonstrate how to be civil while debating one of the topics below, and invite the audience to practice civil discourse in small-group settings.

•    Should college be free for everyone? 
•    Is health care a right or a privilege? 
•    Should males have a legal right and a say when it comes to abortion? 

The audience will get to vote their favorite debate topic from this list.

The student panel will include Omidullah Barikzay, a senior in computer science and accounting; Wendy Dykstra, a junior in philosophy and English, and creative writing; Claire Koszewski, a senior in philosophy and English; and Bradley Moyer, a junior in political science.
