H-1B and Permanent Residency workshop

Juanita Treviño Perez from the Office of International Student and Scholar Services, and Karla Steele, immigration attorney, will discuss the laws pertaining to H-1B visa and the process to permanent residency.

The H-1B is a visa in the United States under the Immigration and Nationality Act that allows U.S. employers to temporarily employ foreign workers in specialty occupations.

The program is in conjunction with International Education Week, an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education promotes programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn and exchange experiences
