Global spotlight: Myanmar

The Office of International Student and Scholar Services will host a panel discussion by students and faculty on the situation in Myanmar after a military coup Feb. 1.

The group will discuss the current situation and events and issues that led to it the coup They also will talk about how the coup may impact Augustana's students from Myanmar, and what you can do to help.

Speakers will include faculty Dr. Umme Al-Wazedi, assistant professor of English; Dr. Elizabeth Lawrence, assistant professor of history; and Dr. Chris Strunk, assistant professor of geography.

The panel of students from Myanmar will include Jue Jue Wai Hin Thaw, Man Dim, Nay Lin Aung, Nu Khin, Pyae Pyae Khine, Pyone Htet and Su Yadana.
