Safe Zone Lunch and Learn: LGBTQ Basics

The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies, will host a two-part program, "What's in a Name?" It will focus on understanding the importance of names in signaling identity. 

Talks will include a Q&A, and those attending will receive a Safe Zone door sticker.

April 27 from 12:30-2 p.m. Chase Norris, executive director Clock, Inc. LGBT Community Center, will discuss awareness and understanding of terminology related to identity and why it's important to get it right.

May 4 from 4:30-5:45 p.m. Amita Mehta, founder of AMP Consulting, will lead an interactive session in relation to LGBTQ+ inclusion and allyship.
