Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan: at the Center of Eurasia’s Geography, Geomorphology and Cultural History

Dr. Norm Moline, professor emeritus of geography, will review his September trip to a region unfamiliar to most Americans. Its mountains are massive (among the world’s highest), its steppes and deserts are vast, its cities are legendary, and it has been an important cultural contact zone along the “silk road” for more than 2,000 years.

His talk is hosted by the Geology and Geography clubs.
