The Story of Olga: Rags to Riches Meets 'Take in Your Washing, the Actors are Coming'

Dr. Anne-Charlotte Harvey, professor emerita at San Diego State University, will discuss the two life trajectories of Olle i Skratthult's primadonna Olga Lindgren-Peterson-Nilsen.

Carl Hjalmar Petersson (as the "rustic comic" Olle i Skratthult), performed songs, poems, and comic monologues in his native Värmland dialect. In 1917 he married Olga Lindgren, his leading lady on stage.

This is the fourth in the Lunchtime Lecture Series leading up to the Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center's 40th anniversary celebration in May.
