'Disciplined Listening' with Michael Reddington

Michael Reddington, president of InQuasive, Inc., and author of "The Disciplined Listening Method," will present on strategic listening techniques.

Reddington integrated business communication best practices with non-confrontational interrogation techniques to create the Disciplined Listening Method. Executives and investigators trained on the Disciplined Listening Method use the truth to their advantage with the application of strategic, ethical observation and persuasion skills. At the conclusion of this session, all attendees will possess new skills, perspectives and techniques, including how to:

  • Leverage the seven stages of contentious conversations
  • Limit the negative impact of their biases, assumptions and expectations
  • Reframe their preparations to create unexpected opportunities to obtain the truth
  • Overcome common listening mistakes
  • Employ techniques to evolve their listening mindsets
  • Apply the favored observation and persuasion skills of Certified Forensic Interviewers
  • Execute the seven core behaviors of the Disciplined Listening Method

All attendees will walk away with the proven skills, perspectives and techniques necessary to consistently influence people to share sensitive information, under vulnerable circumstances and in the face of consequences.
