Reception for Peter Xiao's 'Sighting at Augie'

A public reception for Professor Peter Xiao's solo art show, "Sighting at Augie," will be held in Wallenberg Hall in the Denkmann Memorial Building. Close to 30 works selected from the last 15 years to just days ago make up this retrospective. "Sight, and the desire to ascertain and conjure up sight, keep me hooked to painting, affirming my own presence (with bald spot) in doing so," Professor Xiao wrote in his artist statement.

Guests will enjoy a special performance by music professor Dr. Deborah Dakin at the reception. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be served. Sponsored by Augustana's Center for Visual Culture.
