Though it's only her second year in college, 20-year-old Augustana College student Johana Gonzales is already learning the importance of work-life balance.
"Learning to take time to yourself is so beneficial," she said. "Even just watching a movie or doing your self-care — it's just so important when being a college student."
In an interview with The Dispatch and Rock Island Argus, Gonzales, a political science and communications studies major, talks about:
• Learning how to better engage in political conversation
• Participating in Augustana's TRIO program for first-generation students
• Her love of her classes and the many opportunities for students
• Fall fashion trends
