Even without an audience, music students find joy, purpose

Music students aren't able to perform for an audience due to COVID-19, but in some ways this has caused them to look at music with fresh eyes:

"Being able to create music during this time gives me a chance to take a break from all the craziness and to refocus myself."

— Kate Boyle '21, majoring in communication sciences and disorders and French

"I came to this school wanting to study music education and I've had so many great opportunities. It's still just as easy to connect with our faculty."

— Zachary Myatt ' 21, majoring in music education and composition

"I really do love that we all here at Augustana can be performing for each other and be the audience for each other."

— Maria Coulter '23, majoring in vocal music performance and communication studies
