Landeros '07 works to support diverse businesses

Keeping the Quad-Cities' Hispanic community engaged in business and cultural programs has become a passion for Zenaida Landeros '07.

The program director for the Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce takes pride in her work and has enjoyed seeing the growth in membership and programs offered to a diverse business community. Her responsibilities include communications, program and event development, and membership engagement

Officially established in 2008 by Hispanic business owner Bob Ontiveros of Group O, a marketing company headquartered in Milan, the Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce supports, promotes and enhances the growth and success of area businesses. It assists in generating new businesses while leveraging the community's assets, contributions and unique Hispanic cultural identity.

Ms. Landeros, of Moline, is a graduate of Augustana College in Rock Island. In May she earned an executive master of nonprofit administration degree from the University of Notre Dame, becoming the first in her family to earn a graduate degree.
