Open rec basketball returns with rules

Campus Recreation has begun a trial period of offering open rec basketball under COVID-19 guidelines.

Students should review these guidelines before coming to the PepsiCo Rec Center. Students will need their student ID to access PepsiCo or use the courts.

Open rec hours will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.

During these hours, groups of up to 12 can give their IDs to staff to reserve a court for up to 30 minutes. Each person must submit an ID and be noted on the sign-in sheet.

Teams of up to three can play each other half-court. The remaining group members must remain behind the ropes that are behind the baseline of the basketball courts.

Everyone must wear a mask at all times.

Groups or individuals will be closely monitored and will get only one warning for infractions, such as not properly masking, or not observing the limits of number of players. Groups will be asked to leave PepsiCo if there is a second infraction.
