Sharing your news and event information with campus

Everyone is encouraged to share information about upcoming events, opportunities and achievements with the campus community.

The best and quickest way to do that is to submit an event, or submit an announcement. These will be posted promptly on the Current Students and Faculty and Staff web pages.

The links to submit events and announcements always appear under the calendar grid on those pages.

What's the difference between an event and an announcement?

An event generally is something that happens at a set time and place, once or perhaps in a series: meetings, lectures, performances, etc. Events appear on the internal calendar grid on this page, or if they are open to the public, also on our Events page.

Virtual events will be posted; please include a link to participate, or instructions on how to get one.

Announcements can be many things: a notice to sign up in advance for an event or audition; opportunities to volunteer, or participate in a project; a "how to" for getting involved with a group; recognition of an achievement; and many others kinds of information.

If you are not sure if you have an announcement or event, fill out one of the forms and we will make sure it gets to the right place.

If you have news, send it to sharenews@augustana.edu! We love hearing about the achievements of our alumni, students and faculty.
