Spring JPST-370 course offers PL, G and upper-level credits
If you need PL, G or upper-level credits or are interested in women's creative endeavors, consider taking JPST-370: Women's Literature from Japan (PL, G) this spring. Though it is a 300-level course, sophomores are welcome. The course is taught in English, and no Japanese language knowledge is required.
Women's Literature from Japan explores representative works of Japanese literature authored by women and/or written for female readers. Students are encouraged to cultivate a comparative perspective through the course. We will discuss shared themes that characterize women's experiences across cultures and times and specific concerns expressed in certain works.
