
Augustana College introduces Business for Humanity
New program helps students explore the intersection of business, vocation and the common good.
Management is one of five concentrations in the business administration major. Business administration majors may choose more than one concentration, and some also add other majors.

Damon Hulick '22 is a supply management specialist with John Deere Horicon Works in Horicon, Wis. He's one example of the strong relationship between Augustana and John Deere (see story below), which seeks out Augustana students as interns and employees, and has its world headquarters in neighboring Moline, Ill.
Kate Martino '23 is a business analyst for Amazon Web Services at its HQ2 in Arlington, Va. She was offered her full-time job after a paid summer internship with Amazon in Washington, D.C. Kate used her Augie Choice $2,000 to pay living expenses.

Alumni and community leaders role-played venture capitalists for a popular J-term business course. In the competitive simulation, students pitched companies they built to the potential investors with hopes of making a deal.
Vikings football team captain Breyden Smith ’26 was named an Academic All-American today, bringing Augustana’s total to 184 and securing its Top 15 ranking among all U.S. colleges and universities.
