Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology tuition, fees and financial aid

Tuition

Tuition for one full academic year (June-May) is $33,000.

Graduate financial aid

Students in the Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program have two sources of financial aid: loans and graduate assistantships.

Graduate assistantships

Graduate assistantships give students with an opportunity to work part-time alongside faculty, gaining experience while earning funds to help pay tuition.

Two assistantships will be available per cohort during the first year of the program. The assistantship cannot be renewed for year two of the program.

The graduate assistantship is $5,000 for the year. It will be applied directly toward tuition. Work requirements will be 12 hours a week throughout year one of the program (excluding breaks between terms).

Interested students can apply while completing the admissions application. On the admissions application, mark “yes” that you would like to be considered for one the graduate assistantships. The academic department will select recipients.

Debra Betts '73 Bork Speech-Language Pathology Graduate Studies Award

Established by William H. Bork ’72 in loving memory of his wife, Debra Betts ’73 Bork, in grateful recognition of the education she received in speech pathology at Augustana College, and to assist future students in Augustana’s speech-language pathology graduate program to meet the financial means to complete their education.

Faculty in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders will make the award to a graduate student who demonstrates exemplary academic and clinical aptitude and achievement. Students will be evaluated based on academic achievement, clinical excellence and service involvement. An award will be available to a student entering the graduate program each year and will be renewable for a second year.

Students can access graduate-level federal loans by submitting a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year of the program.

Students beginning the master’s program June 2020 should complete the 2020-2021 FAFSA. The 2020-2021 FAFSA is available now.

Augustana’s school code is 001633.
