Edmund Fosu

Research and Instruction Librarian and Instructor

Edmund joined Thomas Tredway Library in August 2026 as Research and Instruction Librarian, serving as liaison to the sciences, nursing and health sciences, and political science.

He came to Augustana from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he worked at the Grainger Engineering Library and helped develop the library's guide to artificial intelligence for engineering research. His work focuses on course-integrated instruction built around what students are actually being asked to produce, on making research guides genuinely usable and accessible, and on helping students judge not only whether a source is credible but whether it fits the question they are asking.

He works with students individually as well as in class, and holds open hours through the week. Students and faculty are welcome to email him or stop by Room 226.
