Reuben Heine earned his M.S. and Ph.D. from Southern Illinois University, and began teaching at Augustana in 2005. Reuben's special geography interests include water resources management, fluvial geomorphology and Geographic Information Systems. He has brought to the department an enthusiasm for research trips on the Mississippi River, which he conducts with students on a geography research boat bearing the name The Scholar Ship.
