Peter M. Lindberg

(This series of Notable Faculty profiles was written in celebration Augustana's sesquicentennial in 2009.)

Peter Lindberg was born in Omaha, Neb. After graduating from Augustana College in 1886, he enrolled in the Augustana Theological Seminary and graduated in 1889. He accepted a position teaching Christianity in the seminary in 1891 and held this position until 1899. Lindberg served on the Augustana Board of Directors as well.

After resigning in 1899, he was called to the presidency of Trinity College in Eound Eock, Texas. He died on Feb. 15, 1916. He was remembered as a president and church father, and a great leader to many.
