Important changes to Augie Choice
Nov. 13, 2020
Dear students,
I am writing to inform you of some important changes we are putting in place to ensure you have the benefit of Augie Choice funding for a high-impact experience. We know that some students’ plans to study away, conduct research or do an internship have been disrupted by the pandemic.
Staff in CORE have been evaluating and identifying alternative, but equally impactful, experiences, and are eager to share ideas for a possible Augie Choice-funded, high-impact experience as part of your Augustana College education. Additionally, you can learn whether a prior experience you’ve completed may qualify for Augie Choice funding.
We also will expand the timeframe for the use of Augie Choice until late summer. You now have until Aug. 13, 2021, to complete credit-bearing experiences and Aug. 31, 2021, for zero-credit experiences.
We encourage you to schedule an appointment with a member of the CORE team to find out if you qualify to use Augie Choice with these changes.

Augie Choice questions

We know that your experience has been disrupted in a way that none of us could have imagined, but that shouldn’t mean that high-impact learning should be sidelined, too. We are committed to you and we are committed to helping you have an experience that will help you stand out to employers and graduate schools.
And, we are still committed to funding your high-impact experience with Augie Choice, which has invested $9,504,000 since 2009 in supporting Augustana students.
We hope that you find this to be welcome news. Please let me know if you have any questions.
