Campus update for July 21, 2020
July 21, 2020
Dear students,
When you return for the fall semester, you'll see directions and signs on how to keep a safe distance indoors and out.
It's mostly common sense: Walk to the right and give other people plenty of room! Let everyone exit the classroom before you go in, etc. Here's the plan.
Today's updates:
• Keep an eye out for a message coming soon from the Dean of Students about distance learning options.
• Open registration to make schedule changes in Arches continues through 4:30 p.m. CDT Friday. You should have received details from the Office of the Registrar. See Registration Policies for details and tutorials. Contact your advisor first with your scheduling questions.
• Our new health clinic — Augustana Convenient Care Powered by Genesis — will open Aug. 31 in Baldur House just behind the Gerber Center, next to Casa Latina. Hours will be 10 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays.
• The Racial Justice event with Miea Walker scheduled for tomorrow will be postponed to a later date.
Tiny Tours are just what they sound like: A quick look around a spot on campus for prospective students. The tours are a new project by Admissions and Communication and Marketing to help high school students learn about us when visiting is more difficult. Here is a list of Tiny Tours to date. Ideas or questions? Send them to Kirby Stockwell.
