Information, statement regarding the coronavirus

Augustana College classes will be held via distance learning through the summer term.
Students will get information from their individual instructors about how coursework and projects will proceed, and what their expectations are. Students should check their Augustana email daily for updates from the college as well.
Housing and meals
Housing accommodations are available for those with no option to travel, and those with other extenuating circumstances. Students should contact the Office of Residential Life. Call 309-794-2686 or email residentiallife@augustana.edu.
Dining Services is closed for the summer.
Events and athletics
All on-campus events have been canceled; some may be rescheduled at a later date.
Athletic competitions and practices have been suspended.
Although the coronavirus pandemic delayed its traditional ceremony, Augustana College will celebrate its Class of 2020 in person Oct. 11.
The college will hold a traditional commencement at 2 p.m. at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline. Baccalaureate will take place at 10 a.m. that day in Centennial Hall.
Student work and internships
Students who have an internship on or off campus should review this detailed information. Work-hour requirements have changed.
Students who have remained on campus, and who have an on-campus job may still report for work if their supervisors permit it.
Information for employees and visitors
Pepsico Recreation Center, Carver Physical Education Center, Gerber Dining Center, and the Thomas Tredway Library will remain closed until Aug.1.
Beginning June 1, all visitors and employees who will work on campus are required to participate in a screening each day. A screening also is required for any student employees engaged in on-campus work.
Visit Public Safety in Sorensen Hall for an in-person screening.
Masks are required in common areas of campus.
Employees should watch for communication from the Office of Human Resources and a daily update by email.
