Join us at Augustana College for our annual High School Choir Festival beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13, and ending Monday, Oct. 14, by 6 p.m.

  • Learn two works that you can use with your choir
  • Hear the choirs from Augustana College
  • Perform on stage with other regional choirs
  • Work with Augustana choral faculty during individual coaching sessions
  • Interact with other students and teachers who love to sing.

This festival is for high school mixed ensembles of up to 30 singers. Our goal is to gather a group of ensembles particularly interested in preparing and performing high quality choral music in an atmosphere that is fun and musically rewarding.

Activities will include mass choir rehearsals on two selections learned during the two days of the festival. We will provide the music for your students on the first day of the festival.

In addition, individual choirs will have coaching sessions on their prepared literature and will participate in workshops run by our choral and vocal faculty. The festival will culminate on Monday evening with an informal concert featuring performances by each school and the mass choir.

The $25 registration fee per student includes activities and rehearsals, the mass choir music, T-shirt and lunch.

You will be responsible for overnight lodging. Arrangements have been made at the nearby Radisson on John Deere Commons, 1415 River Drive, Moline, Ill., for festival participants at a special rate. Each room will hold up to four people. As space is limited, please confirm with your school administrators regarding funding and transportation prior to registration.

Submit the form below by May 20. We will select a limited number of ensembles from all interested schools and confirm participation no later than mid-June.

We hope you will be able to join us!
