A comprehensive campaign to support the Augustana 2020 strategic plan

AUGUSTANA NOW: A Strategic Plan directs the college to put significant resources into four strategic directions:

• increasing access by improving affordability and value;

• embracing diversity and inclusion, for a more welcoming environment that prepares graduates for our diverse and changing world;

• facilitating transformative learning through integrative co-curricular experiences;

• preparing students for lives of service and distinguished career and graduate school successes.

In support of the strategic plan, AUGUSTANA NOW: a Campaign for Success in the World, for the World will create opportunities for immediate and long-term funding for these initiatives.

The college’s most important, sustaining source of funding is its endowment. By giving to the endowment, you increase resources to extend the vision and impact of the strategic plan to future generations of students and faculty. Or you may see an area that mirrors your own experience or passions. You also may think of other ways your giving might help form the vision of the Augustana Now campaign.

Let Augustana know the best way your generosity can support success for Augustana students.

Here are some examples:

Affordability

Increase dollars available for scholarships of all kinds.
Offer higher levels of financial aid to our highest-achieving students with the greatest need.
Build endowed funds available to students during times of emergency.

Preparation

Influence the future of every student by naming the Center for Career Development in CORE.
Support summer career internships.
Increase the number of students who can study abroad.

Innovation

Create an endowed chair or make an annual gift in honor of a faculty member.
Expand the reach of a center on campus.
Help expand Augustana’s “Corner for the Arts.”

Diversity

Establish funding for international students to take credit-bearing internships.
Support the efforts of the college’s new vice president for diversity, equity and inclusion.
