Anna Reosti, a research professor at the American Bar Foundation in Chicago, will explore the persistent problems of housing affordability, access, and security in America at the Ellwood F. Curtis Family Lecture in Public Affairs at Augustana College on Thursday, May 18.

Trilinguist Clémence Doumengès, a graduate student from France’s University of Pau, interned with Augustana’s French program this semester. In addition to team-teaching with Dr. Kiki Kosnick, she led or assisted with co-curriculars for all language students, including escape rooms!

Chi Alpha Pi will host a water balloon fight to raise money for the Louisiana Bucket Brigade, an environmental health and justice organization that uses grassroots action to hold the petrochemical industry and government accountable for the true costs of pollution.

Self-defense class

The annual Super Smash Bros. video game tournament coordinated by Iota Chi Epsilon (IXE) will take place from 12-3 p.m. in the Gävle rooms. The winner will receive a $50 VISA gift card.

Augustana’s Dr. Ann Perreau awarded NIH grant for hyperacusis study

The $316,276 grant awarded by the Department of Health and Human Services’ National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders will fund the three-year project. Students in Augustana's communication sciences and disorders department will serve as researchers, develop counseling materials, provide sound therapy, as well as collect and analyze data.
