Moon Festival

Celebrate the mid-autumn festival, Asian culture and students' hard work on campus with performances (dancing, singing, martial arts), light food and fun activities. The Moon Festival will run from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Lower Quad (rain location: Wallenberg Hall).

Naturalization ceremony

More than 90 new citizens will take part in a naturalization ceremony hosted by Augustana College at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 20, at Centennial Hall, 3703 7th Ave., Rock Island.

More than 90 new citizens are expected to take part in the ceremony presided by the Honorable Sara Darrow, chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the Central Illinois District. The event is part of Augustana's annual observance of Constitution Day, which was Sept. 17

Voting has begun for the Student Government Association's fall senators. Voting runs from Tuesday, Sept. 19, until Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 11:59 p.m.

Augustana’s John Deere Planetarium to host solar eclipse viewing

The event will feature safe telescope and naked-eye views of the partial eclipse of the sun from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14. Free indoor and outdoor programs in the planetarium, observatory and geology museum are planned.
