Dr. Peter Kivisto, professor of sociology, anthropology and social welfare at Augustana, will talk about his recent book The Trump Phenomenon: How the Politics of Populism Won in 2016. The public is invited to bring lunch to this informal discussion in the Midwest Writing Center.
Habitat at Augie: Shantytown
Join Habitat For Humanity for the annual fundraiser, Shantytown. Habitat at Augie encourages everyone to get a group of friends or their student organization together to participate in this event to build a cardboard house in order to raise awareness of the global housing crisis.

Solo: A Star Wars Story screening
Solo: A Star Wars Story will be shown in Olin Auditorium Wednesday at 9 p.m. and Friday at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. There will be popcorn and two lightsabers will be given away per showing.
Pre-law club meeting
All students interested in a career in law are invited to come to the Pre-law club's first metting of the year. The agenda for the meeting will be to elect officers, plan activities, and discuss a new name.
TED Talk: Hispanic Heritage Month
The Multicultural Programming Board is holding Ted Talk Night this Wednesday. This month, they will be focusing on Hispanic Heritage Month where Drs. Lovato, Pomales, and Navarro will be guest speaking along with two Ted Talks.
Employee flu shot clinic
Employees using Augustana's medical insurance are eligible to receive a flu shot at no cost. Walgreen's pharmacists will be conducting the clinic and validating coverage (no medical ID cards required). Shots will be available from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
