Last Comic Standing is a contest for students to perform a short stand-up comedy act for their fellow students. Prizes are given to the top three performers of $500, $150 and $50.

Play auditions
Auditions for the spring term play "Accidental Death of an Anarchist" will be held in 30-minute slots from 7-10 p.m. Callbacks will be Nov. 16 as needed.

Wieland becomes Lincoln Academy student laureate
Augustana senior Abigail M. Wieland was honored with the Abraham Lincoln Civic Engagement Award Nov. 11 in Springfield, making her a student laureate of the Lincoln Academy of Illinois.
College announces tuition increase
Augustana College will increase tuition by $495 per term for the 2018-19 academic year.

There will be an informational meeting about the 2019 Religion in Rome program.
Faiths in Dialogue in Rome is a short-term program which allows students to enroll in either RELG 203: Christian Traditions or RELG 371: Faiths in Dialogue.
"Herbarium Tales" and "Witness" opening reception
An opening reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. for the new exhibits at the Augustana Teaching Museum of Art: "Herbarium Tales" and "Witness." Curators will speak at 6 p.m.
