Marty Swett ’67 Richards and Larry Richards ’65 both feel “greatly blessed” by their Augustana experiences.

“We want to pass it on,” Marty said. “We would encourage others to consider their own experiences, and how being at Augie laid a foundation for our lives and work.”

They were first-generation college students, and on Augustana’s recent First Generation College Student Day, they made a gift to support current first-generation students.

Dr. Andrea Talentino named Augustana’s next president

The Augustana College Board of Trustees announced Dr. Andrea Talentino, provost of Nazareth College in Rochester, N.Y., as the next president of Augustana College. She will be the ninth president in the college’s 161-year history, effective July 1, 2022.

Students take the stage off-campus for credit

When the curtain opens on "The Sound of Music" this weekend, Augustana students will be earning credit off campus through a partnership with the Spotlight Theatre in nearby Moline, Ill.
