Producing Media for the Web
Program dates: June 18-23, 2017
In this workshop, students will learn skills for how to produce media for the digital age, including creating their own blog and taking part in the production of a short film. Students will learn basic skills in film and sound editing, shooting cinematic scenes, and creating their own professional web pages.
The World of Harry Potter
Learn to use interpretive keys to read the books at a deeper level. Discover your Patronus, use a Marauder's Map on a scavenger hunt, walk a labyrinth, and play a game of Quidditch. Program dates: June 16-20, 2019.
Signals from the Universe
Students will learn the basics of radioastronomy, a vibrant and expanding area of astronomy that looks for natural radio emission from space. This will be focused toward building a specialized receiver and antenna, which together form a simple radio telescope that will be used to “listen” to the sun.
Engineering: Design and Processing
Learn the basics, requirements and limits of Computer-Aided Design/3-D modeling and print your own 3D design. Program a microprocessor to control a simple circuit machine. Program dates: June 16-20, 2019
