Viking Connections: Rylee Hall
Rylee Hall is a venture capital paralegal in a large Midwest corporate law firm.
"While I would personally be able to provide insights on my role, as well as working within a law firm, my employer also has an active law clerk/Summer Associate program for any Augie alums currently in law school."
I think my current career speaks to the flexibility of a liberal arts education. While traditionally, many Augie students interested in law may choose to go to law school directly from undergrad, there may be some hesitation in some. Becoming a paralegal is a great introduction into the legal field, without having to commit to the testing procedures and cost of law school access."

I think I could offer students real life examples of how marketing plays a role in business. My background in other business functions like strategy, sales, and operations may also help students see the 'big picture' in business.
Working for an international company and providing insight may also be of interest to students.

"My time at Augie absolutely prepared me for the work I am doing now, and I'm so grateful for the challenges and unique work assigned to me that led me to this skillset. I would love to help other students identify ways to use their newfound skills in the world as well."
"Also, I knew business was a great major with many opportunities, but I didn't quite know how those opportunities manifested themselves in real-world job roles. When searching for job post-graduation, I didn't know what some of those job titles/roles really meant and if they would be for me. After years in and around a few different industries (public service, higher education, customer service, small business & marketing), I believe I can help students align their interests and skill sets with the job titles and roles that exist for them."
