Dr. Scott Morris: A Philosophy of Medicine

The Augustana Freistat Center for Peace Studies will present Dr. Scott Morris, founder and CEO of Church Health, a faith-based, non-profit organization located in Memphis, Tenn.

Dr. Morris founded Church Health in 1987 to provide care for working, uninsured people and their families. Church Health has grown to become the largest faith-based clinic of its type in the nation. Since inception, Church Health has cared for more than 70,000 patients.

Dr. Morris has an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, a master of divinity from Yale University, and M.D. from Emory University. He is a board-certified family practice physician and an ordained United Methodist minister.
