Filming Indian Country: Responsible Representations

Award-winning documentary filmmakers Kelly and Tammy Rundle of FourthWall Films will discuss their work with six indigenous tribes over the last decade to produce films about their past and ongoing presence.

Their collaborations have resulted in the three-part series "Lost Nation: The Ioway," and the Emmy-nominated film "Good Earth: Awakening the Silent City."

They will show clips of their films, discuss the importance of telling little-known stories, and describe the challenges and rewards of working with indigenous groups to produce culturally sensitive and accurate representations.

Their visit is sponsored by the Institute for Leadership and Service and the Departments of history, English, geography, and sociology and anthropology.
