Meet the Soloists

Sangeetha Rayapati and Sidney Outlaw will sing a selection of songs and also hold a Q&A session on the life of professional vocal performers. Light refreshments will be provided. 

Dr. Rayapati, soprano, is a professor of music at Augustana, specializing in vocal pedagogy, and head of the voice program.

She has sung with many regional companies and is a frequent recitalist and collaborator with contemporary composers. 

Baritone Sidney Outlaw is a graduate of the Merola Opera Program and the Gerdine Young Artist Program at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis. He was nominated for a Grammy for the opera trilogy, "L’Orestie d’Eschyle" in which he sang the role of Apollo.

He holds a bachelor in music performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a master of vocal performance from The Julliard School. He has performed in operas and had concert and recital appearances in the U.S. and abroad.
