Transgender Day of Remembrance vigil
The Office of International Student and Scholar Services hosts this event to memorialize those who have lost their lives due to anti-transgender hate.
Transgender Day of Remembrance is observed annually on November 20th. The day of remembrance is held to honor Rite Hester, whose murder - like most anti-transgender cases - has yet to be solved. This day is meant to raise awareness of hate crimes against transgender people and honor the lives of transgender people who may have otherwise been forgotten.
